With over 1000 students from 6 different schools along with children of determination from Sharjah City of Humanitarian Services to encourage an inclusive community
An expression of ‘happiness in togetherness’ came alive at RAK’s Al Naeem Mall as the emirate’s favorite family hangout became an art destination for children. In line with the celebrations of International Family Day, Al Naeem Mall hosted over 1000 children from various schools at the “Naeem Art Challenge” to provide them with an opportunity for expression through art along with quality bonding time with friends and families. Organized in association with Biori Management Consulting Services, a division of House of Biori LLC, the fun-filled family event witnessed a splash of colors, imagination, and creativity, to depict Hope, Courage, and Compassion through the eyes of children.
An esteemed panel of 6 jury members are responsible for selecting the top 16 entries as the winners of the Naeem Art Challenge. The event also saw the participation of Children of Determination from the Sharjah City of Humanitarian Services from different age groups who were given special gifts for their creative contributions. In a bid to provide future artists with a desirable platform and encourage freedom of expression through art, all the entries are displayed at a designated area on the ground floor within the mall for viewing by mall visitors. Along with top individual awards, the art challenge will also felicitate the school for maximum entries with a trophy at a special ceremony during the grand reopening of the mall on May 20.
Speaking about the celebrations Mr. Ahmed Essa Ahmed Al Naeem, Owner of Al Naeem Mall said; “It was indeed our pleasure to host this art challenge as we could experience the zeal, laughter, and essence of family time together. While we do hope to instill the values of “Hope, Compassion, and Courage” in our children, most often we tend to ignore their ideas about it. Some of the artworks are truly mesmerizing and the depth these children can have in their imagination is incredible. With the expression of art came along the idea of an inclusive future where we had our special guests from the Sharjah City of Humanitarian Services. We’re so glad to have experienced such euphoric moments where children thoroughly enjoyed creating and bonding.”
Along with the art challenge, children and families also enjoyed several other engaging activities such as Giant Jenga, Maxi Foot Darts, XO on the ground amongst many others creating a memorable experience for the entire family.
